WL-SPICA (II)

The White-Light Speckle Imaging Camera SPICA II is the successor of SPICA that originally was built at the Hoher List Observatory Germany. It is currently tested at the 20cm Ritchey-Crétien telescope. WL-SPICA shall later be added to the 12" RC telescope for continuous monitoring of close double stars and multiple stars. It currently features a UV/RGB/IR color camera ASI585MC of brand ZWO. A broad-band UV/IR block filter allows for BVR real-time color photometry. Further filters are a wratten #47 violet filter, IR 850 nm, CH4 890nm (20nm) methane filter and 889 nm (8nm bandwith) methane filters for planetary observations.

Deep Sky imaging

The following filter sets apply to deep sky imaging.

Photometric Filter Wheel

ZWO 8x 1,25", new larger design, used in combination with ZWO ASI1600MM monochrome camera. Due to its efficiency, the u' filter is also applied to UBV photometry.
